The Lone Wolf

I came to this world alone
Though through father and mum's help

I'll go through life meeting and mixing with
But never really becoming
One with any

Because I am unique
What I am, no one else can be.

No one expecting me to be what he will
Shall have his wish-
His heart's desire
Because he can only be he and I be I.

Playmates may seem close
Brother Sister and family closer
Advises will be many,
Sometimes sound, sometimes not
And orders might abound
But ultimately, the responsibility
For each action lies squarely
On my shoulders
And the life is mine to live
   Or ruin- as I please.
And in the end…
When my creator I do face
I can boldly declare:
I did that which thou
And never that
So and so told me to do this…
